Job Skills Transfers

We offer partners a follow on service from training courses to help engineers new to the Cisco products.  Our experience tells us it is a big step from classroom learning to on-site implementation and so our new service will help ensure a smooth transition.  The service will be tailored to each client and will be made up of a combination of the following:

  • First Install Support – Vortex 6 consultants will assist partner engineers with their first installation.  This will include the preparation, installation and testing of the job to ensure a smooth and functioning system is delivered to customers and engineers understand the requirements for future installations.
  • Clinics – Follow-on clinics for engineers to discuss individual client issues and help resolve problems or troubleshoot design complexities.
  • Individual or Group specific training – where gaps are found in individual or group knowledge we will devise targeted training program to address the shortfall.

1st Install Support

Partner training provides the information and skills necessary to install and configure Cisco equipment; however it is only one opportunity to set up the equipment in one particular scenario.  It can therefore be a challenge for newly qualified engineers to install equipment for particular customer requirements.

For example in the Video space, our consultants have configured Cisco TelePresence equipment many times using different dial plans and scenarios and are experienced in conducting rapid trouble shooting using knowledge of the symptoms, error indications and common configuration errors. 

They are therefore in an ideal position to support your engineers in their early installations to ensure that your customers experience a trouble free installation.


Formal training courses are a great place to ask questions and clarify your understanding, but who do you ask once the course is over?  We can hold sessions on your site or over video that will allow your engineers to consult our trainers about issues that have arisen in the field or how to address problems in upcoming installations.

Small Group Training

Sometimes you need specific training for small groups or individuals on specific subjects.  We can provide a trainer to work with your engineers to take them through specific systems and configurations concentrating on the skills that those individuals need.
