CCNA Certification
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA®) qualifies the skills of the accreditation holder to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size route and switched networks, and includes verification and implementation of connections to remote sites in a WAN. The content covered includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. This new content also includes an introduction to the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet, access control lists (ACLs) – this list is not exhaustive.
CCNA Recertification
CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:
- Pass the current ICND2 exam, or
- Pass the current CCNA exam, or
- Pass the current CCDA DESGN exam, or
- Pass any current CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, or security, or voice, or SP Ops), or
- Pass any current 642-XXX Professional level exam, or
- Pass any current Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams or MeetingPlace Specialist exams or Implementing Cisco TelePresence Installations exams or Cisco Leading Virtual Classroom Instruction exams), or
- Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
- Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or

CCDA Certification
The holder of a Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA®) certification demonstrates the knowledge required to design a Cisco converged network. With a CCDA certification, a network professional demonstrates the skills required to design routed and switched network installations involving LAN, WAN, and broadband access for organisations. The CCDA certification content covers designing basic campus, data center, security, voice, and wireless networks.
CCDA Recertification
CCDA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:
- Pass the current CCDA DESGN exam, or
- Pass any current CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, or security, or voice, or SP Ops), or

CCNA Security Certification
The holder of a Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA® Security) accreditation demonstrates associate-level knowledge and skills required to secure Cisco networks, has the skills required to develop a security infrastructure, recognize threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and mitigate security threats. The CCNA Security content emphasises core security technologies, the installation, troubleshooting and monitoring of network devices to maintain integrity, confidentiality and availability of data and devices, and competency in the technologies that Cisco uses in its security structure.

Cisco Certified Network Associate in Service Provider Operations (CCNA SP Operations) certification demonstrates basic knowledge and skills (of a Tier 1 support engineer) in a prescriptive troubleshooting environment within carrier class IP NGN core network infrastructure. CCNA SP Operations content includes incident (event), fault, configuration, change, and performance management procedures, along with NMS tools and protocols.

CCNA SP Operations certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following exams before the certification expiration date:
