CCDP Certification

A Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP®) certification confirms that a network professional has an advanced knowledge of network design concepts and principles, and has the ability to discuss, design, and create advanced addressing and routing, security, network management, data center, and IP multicast complex multi-layered enterprise architectures including  virtual private networking and wireless domains. The CCDP certification content includes building scalable internetworks, building multilayer switched networks, and designing network service architecture.

CCDP Recertification

Cisco professional level certifications (CCDP, CCNP, CCSP, CCIP, CCNP Voice, CCNP SP Operations, CCNP Wireless) are valid for three years.

To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

• Pass any current 642-XXX Professional level exam, or
• Pass any current CCIE Written Exam,
• Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
• Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications

Achieving or recertifying any of the certifications above automatically extends your active Associate and Professional level certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification achieved.

CCIP Certification

Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP®) indicates that the holder possesses advanced knowledge and the skills required to manage service provider infrastructures. With a CCIP certification, a network professional working in a service provider organization demonstrates competencies in infrastructure IP networking solutions. The CCIP curriculum includes IP routing, IP QoS, BGP, and MPLS.

CCIP Recertification

Cisco professional level certifications (CCNP, CCNP Wireless, CCDP, CCSP, CCNP Voice, and CCIP) are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

• Pass any current 642-XXX Professional level exam, or
• Pass any current CCIE Written Exam,
• Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
• Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications

Achieving or recertifying any of the certifications above automatically extends your active Associate and Professional level certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification achieved.

CCNP Certification

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP®) confirms the ability of the accreditation holder to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks and collaborate effectively with specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions. The CCNP accreditation is recommended for professionals with at least one year of networking experience who are ready to enhance their skill sets and work independently on complex network solutions. Professionals who achieve CCNP certification have the skills required in enterprise roles such as network technician, support engineer, systems engineer or network engineer.

Cisco professional level certifications (CCNP, CCNP Wireless, CCDP, CCSP, CCNP Voice, and CCIP) are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

• Pass any current 642-XXX Professional level exam, or
• Pass any current CCIE Written Exam,
• Pass the current CCDE Written Exam, or CCDE Practical Exam, or
• Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications.

CCNP Security Certification

CCNP Security certification is intended specifically for the job role of the Cisco Network Security Engineer responsible for Security in Routers, Switches, Networking devices and appliances, as well as choosing, deploying, supporting and troubleshooting Firewalls, VPNS, and IDS/IPS solutions for their networking environments.

CCNP Security Recertification

Cisco professional level certifications (CCDP, CCNP, CCIP, CCNP Voice, CCNP Security, CCNP SP Operations, CCNP Wireless) are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

• Pass any current 642-XXX Professional level exam, or
• Pass any current CCIE Written Exam,
• OR any CCIE Certification can act as a pre-requisite, or
• Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
• Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications

CCNP Service Provider Certification

The Cisco Certified Network Professional Service Provider accreditation indicates that the network professional holding the accreditation has the knowledge and skills required in order to deliver a scalable carrier-grade infrastructure capable of rapid expansion to support ongoing introduction of new managed services and other customer requirements.

CCNP Service Provider Recertification

Cisco professional level certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following exams before the certification expiration date:

• Pass any current 642-XXX professional level exam, or
• Pass any current CCIE Written Exam,
• Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
• Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications

CCNP Service Provider Operations Certification

The Cisco Certified Network Professional in Service Provider Operations (CCNP SP Operations) accreditation indicates that the network professional holding the accreditation has the knowledge and skills required (of a Tier II or Tier III support engineer) to troubleshoot and maintain service provider IP NGN core (PE-PE and PE-CE) network infrastructures. With a CCNP SP Operations certification, a network professional demonstrates knowledge and skills required to isolate network performance problems, implement proactive fault measures using operations management processes, frameworks, and network management systems.

CCNP Service Provider Operations Recertification

Cisco professional level certifications (CCNP, CCNP Service Provider Operations, CCNP Wireless, CCDP, CCSP, CCNP Voice, and CCIP) are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following exams before the certification expiration date:
