Cisco Express Foundation Design Specialist Certification

This accreditation is designated exclusively for Channel Partners, the Cisco Express Foundation Design Specialist develops network planning and design skills for customers that would typically be required of a pre-sales or system engineer. The Design Specialist demonstrates fundamental understanding of the IP networks, routing and switching concepts, and the basic steps required to incorporate wireless and security technologies in the IP Network. The Cisco Express Foundation Design Specialist will demonstrate the ability to effectively assess customer needs, as well as design and sell converged network solutions. This includes application of Cisco-verified best practices for these tasks and use of the various job aids and tools provided to facilitate successful network design and future growth potential.

Cisco Express Foundation DesignSpecialist Recertification

Complete one of the following recertification options every two years:

  • Re-take and pass all exams for each Specialist certification indicated on the specific certification page. Please note: this includes ALL exams whether refreshed or not.
  • Pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam

Achieving or recertifying CCDE or any CCIE automatically extends your active Specialist certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification achieved.

Cisco Express Foundation Field Specialist Certification

The Cisco Express Foundation Field Specialist accreditation is intended exclusively for channel partners and develops network implementation and operational skills for customers that would typically be required of a post sales or field engineer. The Field Specialist will have the ability to demonstrate  fundamental understanding of the IP networks, routing and switching concepts, and the basic steps required to incorporate wireless and security technologies in the IP Network. The Cisco Express Foundation Field Specialist will have  demonstrated the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively install, configure, operate and support converged IP networks. This includes application of Cisco-verified best practices for these tasks and use of the various job aids and tools provided to facilitate successful network operations and ongoing optimisation.

Cisco Express Foundation Field Specialist Recertification

Complete one of the following recertification options every two years:

The Cisco Express Foundation Sales Specialist accreditation is intended exclusively for Channel partners and develops network preparation and planning skills for customer sales that would typically be required of an account manager. The Sales Specialist will have the ability to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the value of IP networks for business and network architectures featuring Cisco routing and switching offerings, and the basic steps required to incorporate wireless and security technologies into the IP Network. The Cisco Express Foundation Sales Specialist will have demonstrated the skills and knowledge needed to sell converged IP network solutions. This includes application of Cisco-verified best practices for these tasks and use of the various job aids and tools provided to facilitate successful network sales and ongoing account growth.
