The Challenge

In 2015 following internal business restructuring, a key business priority for the Capita IT and Networks division was to identify opportunities to increase profit through its vendor relationships. Vendor rebates and, in particular Cisco VIP, presented an opportunity to optimise use of the program, particularly given that the vendor tools lacked sufficient granularity to identify where rebate gains could be made.  Also, as Cisco VIP rebate is dependent on maintaining compliance with their partner program, Capita’s team needed increased rigour tracking and managing of its certifications.

When coupled with the information from the compliance module it tells us if we have all necessary accreditations in place to support our partner status and specialisations.

In the first year of adopting Fusion Capita IT & Networks grew rebates by 40% through better management as a result of the enhanced visibility and transparency provided by the tool. Fusion also provides Capita IT & Networks with greater visibility of rebates on a deal by deal basis allowing better tactical decisions when working on opportunities.
